modern world has created a lot of confusion regarding the roles of the wife and husband in marriage. Most of the traditional gender roles are considered outdated and it is no longer clear who does what. This confusion has compelled many Christian couples to want to know what the bible says about marriage and the roles of the wife and husband in a biblical marriage. Thankfully, the scriptures are clear about this

The Husband’s Role in a Christian Marriage

Leadership

The bible makes it very clear that the responsibility of leadership in marriage falls squarely on the husband’s shoulders. 1 Corinthians 11:3 says that “Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.”

This scripture is often misinterpreted to mean that women are viewed as second-class citizens. However, this isn’t true.  The scripture states that the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. A good husband loves his wife unconditionally a

As someone who has wrestled through anxiety and bouts of depression for as long as I can remember, I understand how difficult it can be to reconcile mental health struggles as a follower of Jesus. I know what it’s like to feel ashamed and broken. I have often prayed through tears, asking God to heal my mind, to take away the feelings of panic, and to rescue me from the darkness that overwhelms my soul.

Lately, God has been reminding me of simple truths. Some of them surprised me. I have been clinging to the promises found in His Word, and if I’m honest, some days, that’s all that gets me through. As sons and daughters, we are holy, set apart, loved, chosen, and forgiven. But there are days, weeks, and months when I feel like anything but those things. So, if you’re finding yourself in a similar place, here are a few truths that I pray God uses to encourage you right where you’re at.

1. It's More Common Than We Think

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on

Counting up women in the Bible we would consider good mothers is easy. But what about the bad ones? You may know some but who are some bad moms of the Bible?

Herodias was bad. She told her dancing daughter to ask for the head of John the Baptist. And any mom who would want John the Baptist beheaded has to be pretty bad. There are two starving moms in 2 Kings 6 who make a deal to eat their respective sons. One mom follows through with it and shares, the other backs out. One’s mom breaks her word, but both moms are cannibals. I get they were starving, but I still say they were both bad. And here’s one more: Athaliah. Second Chronicles tells us how evil her son, Ahaziah, was. But she was a terrible influence according to 2 Chronicles 22:3, which tells us how evil King Ahaziah was in some measure because “his mother was his counselor in doing wickedly.” This mom was an evil influence. And that makes her a bad mom.

Mothers are counsellors. Mothers are influencers, no matter how many Insta

In society, work is simply a means to an end. Secular songs like “Working for the Weekend” tell people that work is simply a chore to get through to get to the fun activities they desire to do on the weekend.

However, when they look back on their lives, the work they completed here on earth will be the thing they are most remembered for. However, work takes on many forms. Raising children, stewarding possessions, and volunteering in the community are all versions of work.

When we utilize our time wisely and give people our time, energy, and resources to work for God's glory, our ultimate purpose is fulfilled. God created work and we will work not only here on earth but in heaven as well.

Here are five ways heaven is not an eternal work-free paradise:

1. God Created Work

Genesis 1:28 says, “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves

Before we start I have a question  for you

“Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?”

This became the popular phrase for salvation as Evangelicalism began to grow in popularity and influence in Western culture. Much of the previous conversion techniques focused on outward engagement: baptism, taking communion, going through a confirmation class, and putting your name on the member list at a local church. Yet people can perform all of these acts and still not live a transformed life, and many people and spiritual leaders have proven this through their corruption despite their religious actions.

True transformation begins from within, as Jesus and the New Testament make very clear. That inward change begins with an interaction with God, who is first a Person we can now engage with through the work of Christ. Therefore, people began to differentiate between relationship and empty religion by asking, “Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?”

Some say it’s been overused t

In the 3rd century before Christ, the Lighthouse of Alexandria shone its fiery beam across the Mediterranean, a beacon of ancient wonder. Nearby, in the fabled Library of Alexandria, a monumental task was undertaken that would shake the foundations of the world. The Greek ruler Ptolemy II of Egypt asked for a Greek translation of the Hebrew Torah for his opulent library. 72 Jewish rabbis — six from each tribe — were dispatched to Alexandria in order to grant this request. Moreover, these 72 elders worked in complete isolation, and within exactly 72 days, they translated the Hebrew Torah into Greek. Miraculously, all 72 translations were identical, hence the name “Septuagint,” which means 70 in Greek. This translation laid the foundation for the spread of Jewish scripture in the Greek-speaking world, but why was it so significant? The Historical Significance of the Septuagint Ptolemy II reigned during the pinnacle of Greek culture and influence. As the son of one of Alexander the Great

The Description of Publius Lentullus The following was taken from a manuscript in the possession of Lord Kelly, and in his library, and was copied from an original letter of Publius Lentullus at Rome. It being the usual custom of Roman Governors to advertise the Senate and people of such material things as happened in their provinces in the days of Tiberius Caesar, Publius Lentullus, President of Judea, wrote the following epistle to the Senate concerning the Nazarene called Jesus. "

There appeared in these our days a man, of the Jewish Nation, of great virtue, named Yeshua [Jesus], who is yet living among us, and of the Gentiles is accepted for a Prophet of truth, but His own disciples call Him the Son of God- He raiseth the dead and cureth all manner of diseases. A man of stature somewhat tall, and comely, with very reverent countenance, such as the beholders may both love and fear, his hair of (the colour of) the chestnut, full ripe, plain to His ears, whence downwards it is more
